Communities Unite to Build Toak Unity Hall Foundation

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the villages of Sahuot, Mbarias, and Maat came together in a powerful display of unity and teamwork to lay the foundation for the Toak Unity Hall. The youth and men from these three communities converged in Toak, bringing their energy and manpower to prepare the site for the critical concrete slab pouring.

The day was filled with hard work as the group collaborated to level the foundation, ensuring it was ready for the next phase of construction. Their combined efforts showcased the strength of community spirit, with each village contributing to a shared goal. While the men and youth toiled, the women of the villages played an equally vital role, preparing hearty meals to keep everyone fueled throughout the long day.

By 5:00 PM, the team had successfully completed the foundation work, marking a significant milestone for the Toak Unity Hall project. To celebrate their achievement, the men gathered for a refreshing kava session, a moment of camaraderie and reflection. Over the soothing kava, they discussed plans for future collaborations, envisioning more opportunities for their communities to work together on projects that uplift and unite.

This collective effort not only laid the groundwork for a new community space but also strengthened the bonds between Sahuot, Mbarias, Maat, and Toak. The Toak Unity Hall stands as a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together with a shared

purpose.
